I bought my '93 Honda CRX delSol SiR in March '99 & I loved it...


It was a Japanese import with the legendary B16A DOHC VTEC, normally aspirated engine, which produces 100bhp/litre (160bhp).
My Sol was 'Granada Black Pearl' & was pretty much stock, the only additions being...


Alarm/Imobiliser with remote door locking.
Team Dynamics 'Avenger' 5 spoke alloys.
Alpine TDA-7562R 4*40w head unit & Alpine CHA-S614 6 disc autochanger.
The autochanger was small enough to fit in the lockable glove box behind the passenger seat.
300w base amp mounted in the boot & which took the sub-base output from the Alpine head unit & drove a homemade sub-woofer installed just behind the seats.
Home designed modification to the roof panel to cure a roof rattle. (a common feature on delSol's apparently) Click Here to see what I did.

 

I put up a website called 'ClubSol.co.uk' in Sept 2000 which was very successful.
I decided to pass the site on to another enthusiast in Nov 2002 as I couldn't afford the time that the site really deserved to develop it further.
In the 2 years that I had the site it had generated 60,000 hits & had over 9,000 messages posted on the bulletin board.
Not bad for a relatively rare car with just a few enthusiasts!
